2nd Step
The second “ingredient” is an add-on in SAP. Since we’re “brewing something” in SAP, this add-on needs to know SAP’s language and tools in order to work with SAP’s data. The label processes are defined in the add-on. The data to be printed, label layouts and printers must be determined for these processes.
3rd Step
Third, there needs to be an ingredient that converts the print job from the OPAL SAP add-on into a print job on the Windows spooler.
4th Step

What types of digital identification are available today?
1D barcode
A linear code (1D barcode) is a black and white visual pattern that uses lines and spaces of variable width to encode information such as numbers or other characters horizontally from left to right.
2D barcodes
A two-dimensional code (2D barcode) uses patterns, shapes and dots to encode information both horizontally and vertically. A 2D barcode can encode more characters in the same space than a 1D barcode.
RFID tags
RFID tags (Radio Frequency Identification) have data written on them thatcan be read out without physical or visual contact using electromagnetic fields. RFID tags in relation to labels are passive transponders, which are differentiated into the frequency ranges HF, LF and UHF.
