Label printing from SAP® made easy

We show you how easy it is to print labels from SAP. Find out more about the live simulation of labels, reprinting from SAP or a handy preliminary check in the goods receipt area.

A print cockpit facilitates label printing from SAP

To simplify label printing from SAP, we have developed an SAP print transaction (cockpit) for users from the production and logistics areas. This enables you to print labels directly from SAP, such as labels in goods receipt and for production orders. Thanks to the user-friendly navigation, users do not need any special knowledge to do this, so they can make their entries safely and quickly. In this way, users avoid unnecessary reprinting.

Users select the appropriate label process in the central cockpit according to their authorization or permissions.

With just a few entries, they can then access their barcode labels. Since the system automatically determines the right labels and the right printer for the user in the label process, the error rate is reduced.

A test printout is generated with the live simulation for barcode labels.

Preliminary check

With a preliminary check, you can display important information about the label print from SAP. For example, you can change the number of labels to be printed in the goods receipt area. The intuitive operation of the print cockpit makes the changeover to this system very easy for you.

Preliminary information and test inputs

Do you want to issue labels securely and without any errors? Use the preliminary check. For example, you can manually adjust the number of labels or the printer. The pre-check information is then determined directly from your document, such as the goods receipt.

In the preliminary check, you can see useful information such as the label material to be used. You can secure your processes with corresponding pre-check entries.

Reprint

A reprint of labels from SAP – even if it’s rare – is sometimes necessary. Damaged labels or illegibly printed barcodes require the possibility to preform a simple reprint.

In doing so, you have to provide a reason and usually also a different quantity. If your printer is not working, simply print the labels out again on a different device. A reprint is also marked as such in the log file, which also helps you with tracking and tracing.
