However, it secures the added value that is created elsewhere in the company: Even the best product will only achieve the best price on the market if it is identifiable and traceable and thus complies with national and global regulations and standards, for example.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"g-cols wpb_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>The specialist literature offers a variety of models and criteria for the selection and evaluation of software. All of these are generally applicable to an LBM. It is important not to get lost in the model, but to take a pragmatic and transparent approach in order to develop the right basis for decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>There are also soft factors such as overall impression, trust and competence. It is highly recommended to proceed according to a concept. One danger here is that errors or an inadequate approach can lead to incorrect results. The more criteria are taken into account, the greater the risk that essential criteria cannot be adequately distinguished from non-essential criteria.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"f755\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-f755\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h4 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">Costs<\/h4><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-f755\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>Payback \/ Return on Investment (ROI)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Calculating the payback period or return on investment (ROI) regularly proves to be very useful. The difficulty in this approach lies in determining the costs, as many are not directly available. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We find this approach useful when a decision has to be made between very different IT infrastructures or license models.
